GeoMiner Editorial and Identification Methodology
GeoMiner prioritizes recognized scientific bodies, geological surveys, government agencies, occupational-safety authorities, and original technical reports. Identification begins with context and compares independent observations such as hardness, streak, lustre, cleavage or fracture, transparency, texture, magnetism, density, and crystal form. Colour is treated as supporting evidence rather than a diagnosis. When evidence is incomplete, GeoMiner presents multiple candidates and discriminating follow-up tests. Photo identification and Quick ID are educational tools, not assays, valuations, engineering advice, or safety clearance. Content is reviewed when sources change, users report an issue, or an audit finds unsupported wording.
