Formation: Forms botryoidal masses in basalt cavities from late-stage hydrothermal fluids rich in calcium and aluminum. Common geological settings: South Africa, New Jersey USA , Australia; found in basalt vesicles. Common look-alikes and related entries: Jade, Smithsonite, Hemimorphite.
